Integrity Checks
Verifying the integrity of what you download is important - and even more so with security software.

For this reason, separate files containing the MD5 hash, SHA-1 hash and GPG signatures of all software available on this WWW site are available for download from the integrity files download area

If you are not sure how to check the MD5/SHA-1 hashes on the files below to confirm their authenticity, simply open the relevant ".md5" and/or ".sha1" file in a text editor (e.g. Windows Notepad) to see the releases official hash value, and use a tool such as any of the below:

  • SDHash (command line utility)
  • SecureTrayUtil (if you prefer a more graphical interface and optional shell integration)
  • md5sum
  • sha1sum
to generate the hash of the release file you downloaded to compare with.

To verify the detached PGP signatures, either PGP or the GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) are recommended. A copy of the public key which can be used to confirm authenticity can be found here
