| What is FreeOTFE? |

FreeOTFE is a free, open source, "on-the-fly" transparent disk encryption program for PCs and PDAs
With this software, you can create one or more "virtual disks" on your PC/PDA. These disks operate exactly like a normal disk, with the exception that anything written to one of them is transparently, and securely, encrypted before being stored on your computer's hard drive. Features include:

v3.50 of FreeOTFE Explorer is now available for download.
This new version adds support for using keyfiles with LUKS volumes, doubleclick extraction of files, Greek and Croation language translations, a bugfix for when running under the 64 bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7, and a few other minor improvements. FreeOTFE Explorer v3.50 is also available in both U3 and portableapps.com packages - as well as standard installer and ZIP archive releases - providing better integration with these two systems and making it even easier to take with you! v5.20 of the PC version of FreeOTFE, and v5.20 of the PDA version (FreeOTFE4PDA) are now available for download
The new PC version adds support for using keyfiles with LUKS volumes, doubleclick selection of partitions (when used) and a few other minor improvements. The PC version of FreeOTFE is also available in both U3 and portableapps.com packages - as well as standard installer and ZIP archive releases - providing better integration with these two systems for those who have and use them. The PDA version sees an improved user interface to better support language translations and improvements to password handling when used under Windows Mobile 6.5 Both PC and PDA versions also now include Greek and Croation language translations.
